Unwinding in Varkala

rain 34 °C

Varkala in Kerala is a beautiful quiet clifftop town pretty much catering just to tourists. Shops, restaurants and hotels titter on the edge of the cliff which leads down to the beach. While I've absolutely loved India, this is the first time I've felt in proper holiday mode. It's a perfect little tropical beach getaway. Needless to say, I have very little to write about our going=on's from the last 3 days. It pretty much consisted of getting up, shopping, lunch, beach, sunbath, swim, sunbath, shower, dinner, drinks, sleep. repeat that times 3 and that's pretty much it. Throw a massage in there too!

We did go one night to a traditional Keralan dance drama called Kathakali. It was in a small room practically like someones car shed and was performed by a total of 2 actors, 2 musicians and a story teller. The costumes and make up was amazing and the show was hilarious. I also managed (as lazy as i have been) to get myself to a yoga class.

That's all Folks
